Yep been busy in the shed. The vb10 should be painted in the next few days i hope. Still needs two coats of primer.

The carbies i am using on the a10 are off cb900. hopefully put a cam and valve springs in aswell. Bring on 9000rpm 1L grunt haha.

Has anyone ever heard of the a10 cranks breaking?? I wouldnt think they would be
particualy strong with 3 main bearings.

Also which brand of extractors fit a10's in 1000's. The engine mount looks like it may foul with most extractors

Lampy Mate,

You will probably have to roll your own exhaust up as I don't think anyone stocks them (unless you buy from bprojects), I'm rolling my own up. Although my alignment (1200 extractors) fouled with the intake manifold as well as the engine mounts and the firewall belly (too close).

The A10 should be okay with it all, I would say turboing would be bring some issues. Carbs should be fine. Throw some double valve springs on and that should help you get the revs that you want.

Well, having three bearings wouldn't compare to 5 on the later A-series models. Give it a go, in the meantime grab a spare engine in-case things do go wrong.

yep they are 36mm keihins. I also have 39mm keihins off a cbr1000. Might swap a few jets from each to get it tuned better. Have you got a source for jets and needles?
