rather go to a carb shop and just ask for the hitachi for the 1200gx and they`ll get it for you its better there cause anything from nissan is way over priced.. they give you needles for the 1200 and 1600

The part number is printed (not stamped) on the Hitachi carburetors. Often they have been rubbed off, or just faded away. But many 35 year old Hitachis still have the number visible.

It is on the flat at the top of the carb body (just below the tops).

See the Tech wiki for identification clues: Hitachi Twin Carb
* Flat top is 1974 or newer
* Four-bolt types are 1976 or newer
* Are yours 38mm or 46mm bore?

Fabre Australia here in Sydney have parts for the Hitachi carbs, plus they can supply needles to suit. I always go for the GR needles, they seem to work better than the stock ones. They only work Monday to Friday, which makes it hard to pop in on Saturday mornings.
