hi all,
just wondering, when i leaf spring is reset or re arched, it gets longer? so then would that create any problems with the swing arms at the back of spring bolt up spot?

should i get longer swing arms or a shorter top leaf? whats the go? any insight would be most apreciated

If you mean the rear spring hangars, you don't have to do anything to them as they pivot to & fro.

Changing spring hangar lengths is a science in itself with regard to vehicle handling of which you don't want to know about at this stage of your experiance(i mean no offence to you by this)if and when you start to enter competitive events then sure, changes can be made,in the mean time just throw them back in once reset and it'll be all good.

Cheers

To answer both questions:
Yes
Yes
Just as they go back and forth as you are motoring along over bumps.

yes i understand this,
but if i was to get the springs to be set like 3 inches lower, wouldnt that push the swing arm back much further instead of being straight, this is when the car is standing still

yes! the spring would be slightly longer, but the hangers at the rear of the spring move to compensate for the changes.
look at the difference between the front spring mount and the rear one, think about how it all will move and it will become clear.

yeah i do get it dude

just that if the spring gets lowered 3 inches, then the spring would be 3 longer? then the swing arm would be pushed back 3 inches, thus almost hitting the chassis?

no no no no, just because your resetting the spring 3 inches lower doesent mean that the spring will be 3 inches longer. the spring is only getting flatter, which will make it slightly longer, but not a lot at all.

if it made that much difference im gonna get my third leg straightened if it adds 3 inches.
