hi datsun people im a long time datsun collector my first car was a 1200 ute and had them ever since also im a motor trimmer by trade i just wanted to get your opinion on puting in a sunroof there is curently a small hole in the roof from the antena i removed and was thinking do i weld it up and remove it or do i put a sunroof in ???
i like sunroofs but dont want to ruin a good 1200

just put it in haha what harm could it do... it will have to be a tasteful looking one but otherwise it just wouldnt be cool lol

I've never seen a good one. All the ones I've seen look tacky and the roof isn't big enough to warrant it so if it were mine I would be welding it up. But it's your ute.

yeah it is your ute if you wanna put it on then go for gold ey.. if you dont like it or dont wanna put it on then just weld up the hole or just not put one on in the first place

each to there own...i wouldnt but thats me, i dont think it looks good on a ute but and the end of the day its your car, do wahtever you feel like doing

i saw one about 2 years ago with a sunroof in it
it looked really good and it makes me want to put one in mine

I have a sunroof in mine, was already in it when I bought it. The good thing about them is it makes the cab feel bigger, gives that indoor outdoor flow.

yeah i want to put it in and let the sun shine in but am worried about resale value i have 2 different types an electric spoiler type and a old school pop up one not sure what to do

Yeah I think resale value would be killed, but then resale value is killed by a lot more untasteful things like non-period paint/wheels/engine choices etc.

How good condition is the ute?

personaly i dont like sunroofs, but 1200 ute roofs arnt all that easy to weld. wether you cut a hole in it for a sunroof or weld that hole up it will never be the same..
