I have a friend with all the professional equipment to do whitewalls and I am planning to get my tyres done maybe this week or the next.

If anyone else is interested, let me know and you can bring you car or wheels around to my place and the fellow can do them in one go.

I haven't yet contacted him regarding a group but will once I get some interest from everyone else, if there is any.

Price wise I think it is about $25 a tyre maybe a bit more.

yea ... they claim you've taken a chunk out of the sidewall and this compromises strength blah blah blah

On my 625kg car....jeez. That's getting a bit silly isn;t it? Are there statistics on whitewall blow-outs? I've never heard of one.

I have to get my car inspected for safety when i buy it (if over 15 yrs old) and then nothing else... cops wont pull you over for anything unless you are driving like a douche
