how believable is 120 HP out of an A15? i got SU carbs for it, i plan on rebuilding the motor, and working the head(double valve springs, larger valves, etc...)
has anybody run this kind of setup, how has the motor responded? i was thinking about swapping the something larger(Ca18DET or KA24E) but i want to keep the A15

120HP is believable but not with 38mm carburetors like typical SUs.
$5,000 will get you 120HP, buy one of Peter Zs engines he has for sale right now.
Or you could turbocharge it, t'would be the cheapest way to got 120HP.

Remember, stock A15 is only 80HP, and the high-performance dual-valve spring A15E engine -- the most powerful factory A-engine -- was 92HP.

With those mods you are looking at 85HP if done with the right camshaft.

All car engines are rated at the flywheel. Only aftermarket engines are rated at the wheels.

Well an A15 feels twice as powerful as an A12. Just make sure to use an A14/A15 transmission and rear end, as the A12 ones are not strong enough.
