Repairing rust damage on my 120Y, any ideas??

Hi guys

im just about to start reconditioning the body work on my 120Y, overall its in pretty good condition, only surface rust in 1 or 2 places so its not to bad,

but there is a patch of deeper rust about the size of a dvd case just underneath the rear number plate on the main body... any sudgestions on how to repair it? im lost for ideas atm haha

Put a CD case behind it and bog over it!
Just kidding :)
Cut the rust out and weld in some new metal, its the best way.

Should have thought about that earlier!hahaha would have been so much easier :P

any particular type of welding? i can do all sorts but im worried about blowing through the thin metal, something like oxy or mig tack welding?

Tack weld with mig slowly or stich weld it. Oxy would be ok.

But it's a120why o why- they seem to rust heaps compared to 1200,s and 1000's

ahh okay, sounds like a plan :)

this one seems to be alright, on the surface atleast, i think it was stored in a shed for many a year before i got it so i think that may have saved it a little :)
