Hey guys,

This might be a bit of a n00bie question but I was wondering how do you check if you have the original A12 in you 1200?

I have a 71 sedan so I dont have any plates or numbers on the firewall other than the B120xxxx that is stamped on the LHS firewall. I checked my WA rego papers and the engine number on that matches the engine, is there any other way?

cheers

A 1971 sedan should have this plate:

The plate includes the original engine number.

Australian-assembled sedans should have a slightly different plate in the same spot:

Then the plate has been lost over the years. 42 years old now.
