Twistex's KA24E is high-13s, I think.

13's with a 2-liter is nice, low boost even so. Does 5-lbs of boost beat a 20% larger engine? Probably makes the two about even.

The turbo seemed to be in great shape when I pulled it off a few weeks ago. The car only has 72,000 km on it and it had a turbo timer on it when I bought it. All the fluids were beautifully clean too. I agree that a roller bearing turbo will fix the lag...that's for sure! My brother is selling me his S15 turbine (T28 roller bearing) for my car, he's putting down about 250 hp at the wheels with it. Yeah I already got the 3 inch mandrel exhaust and no cat (test pipe), just need to get an intercooler kit, boost controller and fuel controller (SAFC) and the horsepower would jump considerably.

I'm not really let down by the dyno run at all. With that automatic and stock everything besides exhaust and air filter I think it's exactly where it should be. I plan on doing another dyno run after swapping out to the 5 speed manual. I've always wanted to see what kind of difference it makes. Sometime after Feb. 14th I'll do the swap and dyno run. I'm going home to the US (finally!) for a couple weeks and I'll get to work on and drive my Buick which I miss a lot. Nothing else compares to over 500 ft/lbs of torque starting below 3000 rpm! Can't wait to feel that power again!

Shoey, cats are not required on older vehicles here, are you suggesting he uses one anyway?

Also, if twistex's n.a. ka24e Coupe does high 12's, shouldn't a healthy sr20det 1200 do that much better?

Quote:
183.5 PS at the wheels @6633 rpm
24.2 kgm torque? @5532 rpm
Stock boost...max .54 kg/cm

PS is the european HP rating. 183 HP (136 kw) is not bad at alll ...

Not sure what kgm is ... but the torque is probably close to or a little less than 183 lb. ft (HP = lb. ft. torque @ 5252 rpm).

The turbo lag could be the turbo "choking up" with solidified oil junk, from not letting it cool down after driving hard. A good roller bearing turbo will fix this.

A healthy SR20DET will get you mid 12s in a 1200. Get:
a 3 inch mandrel exhaust
a 3 inch Cat convertor
A big intercooler (don't chop up the front to make it fit)
up the boost to 12psi

You can expect up to 230ps (270ps with roller bearing) at the wheels with this combination.

IF I had a Skyline that did a 14.2 Quarter maile I'd be pretty disappointed with it.

But anyway tell us how the conversion goes. all the best.
