sorry I thought you left out a 0 off the end of the 200-250 dont give up yet many conversions are running old VN Commonhore computers these are everywhere just need a pin out diagramm and someone to burn a chip most chip torque agents can
I'll be surprised if you find something in the 200-250 range
I dumped me AMP shares before they nose dived , i was a bit lucky
cheers

I wouldn't be concerned about the injectors, when mine were flow tested they flowed more than a VL injector . I dont have turbo on it yet , with the standard pressure reg. and a VL fuel pump i'm at about 52% duty cycle , so the injectors flow plenty
I tuned mine on the road with a motec A/F ration meter(hired for a carton of XXXX gold) , could probably find some more if i put it on a dyno. its not that hard to tune . If you cant find a decent computer for under 1500 with all sensors and loom you must be wanting a label queen version you dont need the best Autronic or Motec

well see im a bit unsure on this, basically i was going to get my mechanic to set it up, i wanted an aftermarket computer to do it with, and he tells me its gonna cost a fair bit to get running right

the computer will be say 200-250, then inectors may need replacing with bigger ones, but i think mainly the labour cost associated with tunning the computer is going to kill me, i would love to stretch to run spark through the ecu aswell but this is just going to mean more tunning costs?, i mean im going to be scared to set up the ecu settings myself cause ive heard horror stories of turbo motors dying in ten minutes, and not knowing what im doing i risk dettonation and leaning out and all that crap, i also dont have the tools at home to measure anything while trying to set it up

tell me what you think, honestly cause you obviously know more about it than me??

[edit] i have no probs seting it up as far as mounting and wirring everything, its just like i said the programming of it

please let me know why you think you need so much money to put the EFI on?

well i've been thinking, again, i think i'll set her up running 7-8psi boost down a weber 32/36, that way i wont even need to box the carby, (apparently they can take upto 10psi, is that right?) without blowing petrol out the seals?

just need to get my head, some solid floats for the fuel bowls (where do i get them?),

if its too much trouble sealing the boost into the top of the weber i may just use a hitachi with the adaptor thing the vanettes have on them, but will have to see how i go, would prefer the 32/36

and then if i want more boost or it doesnt seem to hold that boost i'll make up a box for the carby,

of course this is all temporary till i can get inject on there in one way or another, but i figure once i get the head it'll only take a week or twos work to set the carby up as i have 90% of the bits i need

"I'M EXCITED"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yep, that's right, big kev style

yeah i think thats what im gonna do, the carby that is for now, i dont have a car to drive otherwise, thats where the problem is, also i have to pay the reg as i dont want to have to try to get a road worthy certificate later on, so im loosing money if it just sits there

My factory-stock 1200 just keeps driving ... with me spending no money on keeping it going

1200rc, I think it is a good idea -- throw a carb on it, and get it running so you can enjoy driving it. Then later you can fit the EFI.
