Haha. We deserve it ! Hell they even advertise Sheep drench on prime time TV down here.Farm animals aren't safe unless they're in peak physical condition. God don't live here no more and some of the Beer can make you worship the devil himself , sign your Datsun registration away (in blood) - for the promise of seeing a Silver Ferns shapely leg as she defends the 'goal' area. I haven't seen any velcro gloves, but I see a lot of sheepskin steering wheel covers which itself is a little disturbing.

Dan,
When I was in NZ they gave me some minty sorta incense they said would calm me. Made me look at sheep real strange, In a not natural kinda way.

I wanted to hugem, n kuss em, n takem home to meet my mum. I was told velcro gloves (available in most NZ haberdashers) would solve my problems with containment.

P.S. The beer In Palmy North (Tiwi dark??)made me hallucinate!! True dinkum gods honour. It cost me heaps in therapy when I got home. I kept telling them I wanted to go back. They had to lock me up n feed me lotsa Coruba to re-habilitate me
God bless the Silver Fern!
See I did get some reference to the topic into the post

Disclaimer _ No offence intended to sheep, Kiwis sheep herders, My mum,
NZ-Haberdashers, The good people of Palmy North, Brewers of Tiwi beer, The Rum company (makers of Coruba), or the Silver Fern.

I love the look on people's faces when they are on the highway doing about $1.20 and My ute rounds them up like they are standing still

Now that's funny.

Well said, both of you.

Well said Andy...
Guys we constantly get off track as to what this club is about...(and by the way I am a Christian, however I hate religion just like all of you! Religion is by definition mans way of trying to buy his way to God and it is hypocritical and just downright stupid so I understand where each of you is coming from....)
However this is the Datsun1200 club NOT a forum on theological discussions or lack thereof.
We all have an affinity together in regards to what was made as a budget car to allow people to get around as simply, safely and reliably as possible.
But this little car (with ALL your help) has turned out over time to be a potent little weapon on the road and track!!!
I really appreciate what your are all doing with your cars and I feel like this club is really getting a family atmosphere about it.

DONT RUIN IT PLEASE for all our sakes!!!!

We need, on this site anyway, to focus on who we are, how these cars reflect our individuality and go out and flog some cars with ultra high budgets, 100% pose-factor and are by all means slow compared to these little cars.
Would you all agree on something...its the best feeling to watch someones jaw drop when you fly past them in your Datto!!
I want more stories like that on this site.
Anyway catchya on the track!

Dang, it's crazy how much response and criticism this post has had since it started! I mean to me it came off as some guy who's just looking for some other people w/similar beliefs and an interest in Datsuns to talk to, not as a battle between good and evil! Doesn't seem like anyone who did reply fit the bill for the question he asked!

It is silly/stupid to divide an already small group of Datsun 1200 enthusiasts based on religion and faith, so why do it? The club boasts no religious affiliation, and if some guy wants to know if there are a few others in the club like himself, so what?!! So let him know if you are, but don't start bashing on him and his faith and beliefs just because dude isn't afraid to say who/what they believe in. Seems pretty childish and immature to me, and something not worth dividing members over in our club!

Keep your own comments about religion to yourself, and if you want to talk to the guy about your and his religous beliefs or lack thereof, email or IM him, but don't openly start bashing on someone, or treating them different just because of their beliefs in a rather public forum in the Datsun 1200 club. I mean what the hell, you're giving the rotary members something more to pick on us for, and new and even existing members something to shy away from and not enjoy the 1200 website as much as we do! Grow up guys and get along!

-Andy
