I feel the standard Nissan cooler is a waste of time. So I had a custom one fabricated, which goes under the front bumper. (600 x 120 x 80)It aint huge but it's more efficient than the standard nissan item. The engineers I spoke to all advised against cutting up the radiator support in any major way.

I'm going through the same process in WA with my CA-18DET Coupe. Basically the key to my car meeting the requirements was an approved catalytic convertor, purge tank and a exhaust test that was less than 90db.
