Those bushings and rods prevent the front wheels from moving fore/aft.
If you were just driving around, your suspension would get pulled back a bit and if you hit the brakes it might not make noise. But, if you are trying to park, hitting the brakes in reverse then forward, you would probably notice the noise more.
Does that make any sense.
Try kicking the front tire toward the rear and see how much it moves and what it sounds like.
I was going to say to look at the steering idler arm, but that would probably vibrate while you were driving as well as parking.
Did you just buy new wheels/tires and now they're rubbing on the fenders?

Oh, when you say parking, I'm thinking of parallel parking or something with a lot of low speed, back and forth manuevering.

This is the best pic I could find.
The castor rods ar the two diagonal arms at the bottom of the pic. The bushes are the things at the very ends of the arms.
They are located underneath the radiator.

I would be checking out the castor rod bushes to see how worn out they are. Also sounds like thisis what could have been changed on your car DD

HA HA! I may know what it is. If it only does it on , or close to full lock, Try putting some grease on the steering travel stop.

My 1200 had a very similar problem when I first got it. I took it to the wheel alignment shop and they replaced one suspension part. Wish I knew what it was ... whatever it was it let the front wheel move forward or back enough to rub on the body. I only noticed it when braking.
