Well, thanks for showing another picture of the Cobra. Too bad I sold it last night. Yep, I'm out from under that over powered, ill handling, tooth rattling thing. Now I have a nice pile of money to spend on the Datsuns! First thing I'm buying is a TIG welder. Then I'm buying a plasma cutter. Then I'm buying a Datsun Roadster. Then I'm buying a.... {trails off to an incomprehesible mumble.}

They are the "NISMO" 240ZG flares. We got them from a place here in the USA called Motorsport Auto. Quote: had to be put on backwards to "fit" the contour of the 610. What I mean is, the "right side" flares are on the left side of the car and vice versa. You can see it in the way the bottom opens. FWIW, the fronts are on "correctly", the rears were switched side-to-side because they fit better that way. They were pretty easy to fit, but we had to seriously roll the crap out of those fender lips to clear those super wide tires.

A shimmy at 40 and at 80 would be indicitive of an out of balance wheel. I've owned lots of cars that have done this.

We're having electricity problems here in Fort Worth so tensandtwenties can't get online at the moment. I say that to say, even though it is my car and I bought the flares, I have forgotten where they came from. Tensandtwenties, will know. I think he said in the other post about this car. I do know that they are made for a 240z and had to be put on backwards to "fit" the contour of the 610. What I mean is, the "right side" flares are on the left side of the car and vice versa. You can see it in the way the bottom opens. Then again, maybe I'm the only one who sees that, I don't know. Also, I'd like to apologize for making another non 1200 post. As soon as I get off my lazy butt and get a 1200 going, you won't be able to shut me up about them again.

dims/tens and twenties, are those flares off something else or specific to that model. I have a mate with a 200B SSS and he has home made (bent metal and bog) flares but Im sure he would love some bolt on's, even if he bogged over the bolt holes.
Cheers,
Simon

I love the fact that I have a number of cars to drive at the moment. My new ute, the old ute and my g/friends (dont shoot me!) Corolla. Must take the old ute for a spin, its just been sitting. The new ute is great but too easy to drive, even sideways with an LSD is easy. Jump in the FWD Corolla or old non-power steer ute and I nearly mount gutters because I forget to turn. That photo looks awesome! lurve the flares!

Yeah, you'd think I would do that. But as I have mentioned before, I'm very lazy. I keep hoping that Tensandtwenties will do it when he borrows the car. Oh, and you might cut a coil off those front springs while you're in there! By the way John, thanks for the help getting the Cobra back on the road. I really do appreciate it.
