3mm is abit over kill, you will have to raise the suspension to get it back to your normal ride height. Maximum 1.2mm will be still even better than factory, the ribs are the strength in the floor.

Thanks Everyone

Im gunna have a lash at bending up the floor with at bit of 3mm.

Reuby, I take it you didn't replace the tunnel in the middle just the floor to the left & right of it, the tunnel is in good nick so I will leave it be if possible.

What did you do about the rails underneath the driver & passenger?

Cheers

yeah just go and get some 2-3mm sheet and bend it to suit. My 1000 ute that i recently aquired has no floor left. I bent up some sheet to fit, and it wasnt that hard, just time consuming. I am gonna fibreglass over the top of it when its welded in place. That will neaten it up rather than having to bog and bash the sharp edges into place.

checker plate would be heaps noisy. just go to midalia and buy some sheet metal and weld the sucker in where u need it. not too thick or you wont bend it. this is usually what happens with rusted out floor pans from my experience.
