Exactly....I filled up the block and did not start the engine until the car was ready to race. I eliminated the radiator, water pump, and all of the hoses. Notice there is no alternator or belts either. I made the filler neck out of a thermostat housing from a Z24 engine out of a 720 pickup. The bolt holes lined up nicely with the A14 head, and the thing pointed straight up! Perfect! Then I welded on a flat plate and bolted on the bung from a 300ZX [Z31] radiator fill, It worked fine!

It ran on gas, and was fully operational in this picture. I welded the motor mounts solid as well. For the drags, that presented no problems, but I wouldn't want to do that on a road car.

The brake lines are the original steel lines. I think what you are seeing are the 3/8" rubber fuel lines on the firewall. One comes up from the high pressure Holley electric fuel pump in the trunk [boot] and then it goes into the blue Holley fuel pressure regulator that splits it two ways. One goes to the Rochester carburetor and the other to the nitrous oxide system's fuel solenoid.

Thanks! The engine was 1mm over, stock cast pistons, a Nismo #2 race cam and valvesprings, and ran on 110 octane leaded race gasoline. I did shave the head .080" to raise the compression some. It used a Nismo header as well.

doesnt this car have a radiator or anything, or does it just have enough water inside it to do a drag run and thats it? or is it just incomplete at this stage?

Sorry to change subject but what are the brake lines made of or are they covered with rubber hosing?.

Ive heard about epoxy coating or something similar and does it work well for the street?

I heard it decreases inlet volume size?
