you dont have to have elec ign. i have seen little kits you can fit to your points setup for 4, 6 & 8s.

you'd need to hook up electronic ignition, and have a gizmo that cuts the spark after 'x' amount of rpm - just like a factory car does.

sorry its a bit off topic but whats the cheapest and easiest way to set up a rev limiter on a carby car?

Yeah I've got a 6AL too with carbs. Rev limiter included. I've even seen a mallory tach with a built in rev limiter.

I'm 99% sure this car is not fuel injected, I just can't remember if I ever looked at the engine bay, but from talking to him I don't remember him ever saying it was EFI and since I found out that in Japan they toss the factory EFI on B310 Sunny's in favor of dual sidedraft Webers, I am almost positive this car is carb'd.

And yes you can put rev limiters on carbureted cars. I had one on my Datsun and my Buick in the form of an MSD 6AL ignition box.

Drift, I believe some programmable electronic ignition systems allow you to set a rev cut at a certain rpm point. These sytems can be used on carburetted engines.

Thats not to say the car in the video isn't fuel injected though.
