use the higher grade unleased (premium unleaded) fuel if possible, it is cleaner in most cases and leaves you engine better lubricated.

Sure, I never used leased fuel, I always buy it outright

But seriously, a 1980 engine from any vehicle should have valve seats designed for unleaded fuel.

But even so, our 1971-1973 1200s run fine on it. It may vary by country, as to what they put in the unleaded fuel. In the US, there are lead-replacement additives in all fuel.
