Maybe another hose got knocked off? But I doubt that would cause a problem at 3000rpm. Maybe the coil wires are switched?

Also, when accelerating the engine cuts out at 3000 rpm and bogs and splutters.

I just put a 32/36 Weber on my car and it was running fine for a day until I took my coil off and painted it. When I hooked it back up it ran with a really bad miss. I have made sure there is no paint on the terminals and the wiring is correct. The same problem I fixed on the original carby by connecting the vacuum advance tube which had come off. I need help. Any suggestions???
