After a rough start on Thursday, I actually made it.
I spent Wednesday night and Thursday finishing up the tail pipe section of my exhaust. After finally packing the car and leaving, I found out that my rear tires were rubbing baddly on the fenders. I turned around and went back home.
With my wife and my luggage still in the car, I went at the fender lips with a ball peen hammer. We were off again after an hour. I had to adjust the fenders a little more during the drive with TheClub and a MAG light.
Anyways, lots of 510's, several Z's (new and old), a few Nissan Sentra's and 240sx's, a couple of Patrol's, 3 1200's and a 210.
VG30's, KA24's, and SR20DET's seemed to be the norm. A more modern power plant doesn't sound like such a bad idea.
An autocross followed the car show. It's interesting to see which cars were for show, go, both or none of the above.

The icing on my cake was a rock hitting my windshield when I was so close to home.

ok, wheel bearing is replaced.
I'm in.
I took a tour of the Bay Area on the way home from work (62miles instead of the usuall 20) and everything seems ok. The new muffler is almost as loud as the old glasspack, however. My wife is going to be pissed off . Oh, well, that's what ear plugs are for.
I'll be there on Sat.

I won't be sure if I'm going untill I'm actually there.
As of right now, 3:45pm on Sunday, I'm not going. Bad front wheel bearing that needs to be changed.

Man Shasta..I'd like to be there. But there's nothing going on in my company to give me a reason to fly over to California for a look.

Take some photos of the 1200s for us.

Shasta kicks ass!

Especially the big dinner events, where there is the highest concentration of Datto discussions anywhere in the world. Imagine a room with 100 Datto people in it, eating dinner, bench racing and shooting the breeze..Oh Yeah... and a few beers.

To all you Datto people that haven't been, go to California, hire a car, and drive up to Shasta, it's not too far from San Fransisco, the trip to Shasta is easily done in a day. Me and my brother drove up from LA, came home via Reno, Yosemite and Bakerfield. It was a great trip.

Is anyone else planning on attending the shasta meet this year? I'll probably bring some 1200 stuff to sell. I am making t shirts that have some datsuns in a row, including a 1200. These should be there as well.

post what car you'll be bringing!

see ya.

P.S. event is July 15-18
