The CA18det head gasket is slightly thicker thats the only diference im aware of. The shape is exactly the same.

I used to the CA18DET gasket on the CA16 DE, because it ran so much compression.
There was definately a difference.

I figure the same would apply between the CA18DE and the DET...

head gasket?? if so is the det gasket available in the us??

Hey Yup

I always use the Nissan headgasket for a DET, and any old thing for the other gaskets!

I am going through the engine for my car
and getting ready to reassemble-- do I get
any old set for a ca18de or do I neet one
speciffically for a DET?? Nissan,? felpro?
mr gasket? any hints would be appriciated
