yajokn, seen you this morning hammering onto the highway from the road that leads to como. the ute sounds mad.

what's the chance of you selling it, know that i have finally sold my car.

anyway, about the sensor, the early model hyundai excels which came out with the twin cam engine have a wide band oxygen sensor, same as those used on several big dollar air fuel ratio meters. they aren't cheap at around $300, but well worth it. the whole computer system is good on those s**tboxes, they used motronics, same as ferrari use these days.

Thanks phunkdoktaspok, I'll call that dude. And thanks you other guys too, I figured pretty much the same thing about the wires. Just wanted to make sure, didn't want to hurt the DAT.

One of my past customers who did mostly Honda's mentioned that O2 sensors are pretty standard across the board depending on the number of wires(each wire reads a different thing he had sourced them from someware and at bloody sight less than what my genuine ones were costing.
I think TRIDENT make them (the clamp company).
I would look thru your yellow pages for company's that wholesale auto electrical items and also go and talk to sparky's and fuel injection specialists.

Just to add on Lucas electrical quality, an old customer who is into landcrabs mentioned to me once that Lucas had just brought out a new 3 position headlight switch-OFF-FLICKER AND DIM

After chasing up o2 sensors at various outlets I've come up with didly squat! Everyone I've tried has told me they do not stock o2 sensors for a CA and to go to a nissan dealer.
So I did.
At nissan I have been told they do not hold these in stock and to get them they are;
- $210.00 (each)
+
- $100.00 (shipping).
Now to check that I heard correctly I questioned him. I didn't hear wrong.
What is the world coming to? Am I over re-acting or is this an outrage?
Please assist with my enquiries....

The only thing that Lucas made that didn't suck was their range of vaccuum cleaners!

Talk to anyone who has owned a jag about the electricals. . .
