even if you find it's an australian assembled car,the struts will fit.all you need to do is use 11/16 rear wheel cylinders,or you'll wear out the rear brake shoes.the good news if it's a late 120y,these discs & calipers are originally fitted on sigmas,so they are very understressed.i almost had a police car run into the back of me when he was stopping me for speeding,& the car 'only' had the pbr calipers & discs.the only downside is you need the 120y front wheels if you're still on 12 inch steelies,& some 13 inch mags won't fit.i think it has something to do with the diameter of the centre part of the hub.in my opinion,if they're free, grab em.

This is true, but be aware that Australian built sedans, with a build date from June 1976 or later use an Australian sourced brake system,... which is completely diferent.

If you use this system, then you will need to use the front brakes, the master cylinder, & ideally, the whole rear axle assembly in order to get the matching rear brakes. This will guarantee a balanced system.

i used stanza struts, 200B girlock calipers, 180B master cyl and 1200 sedan rear drums and i had NO balancing issues whatsoever. the fronts and rear would ALWAYS lock up together.

the 1200 (B110s) rear drum slave cyls are the same volume (even if they're slightly a different shape) as sunnys (B310s), 180Bs (P610s) and 120Ys (B210s).

the only way you'll have balancing probs is with bigger front calipers and an accompanying m/c to suit them. and even then, a simple proportioning valve is a lot easier to install / plumb into your existing one than installing the WHOLE braking system off another car entirely.

whole rear axle assembly....?!

Will Datsun 120Y Struts fit in a Datsun 1200 Coupe with no modifications and would lowered 120Y springs fit on 1200 struts. I am guessing the springs might as they should be the same width as 1200 springs??
