guys adding NOS is not turbocharging.
and i didnt say the trans cant handle an extra 20 kw over stock. It already handling an extra 50 kw (about an A series worth) It just cant quite handle 2 extra A series worth of power taking it over 220Kw well into the bang zone!

yes, some popular cars can be turbo'd without changing the ECU, e.g. Ford. Just get bigger induction and injector ...

Why couldnt you do an inexpensive turbo mod to a modern car? Or even a Magna.
If I had a magne (errr shudder) I would put a stage 2 NOS kit on the thing and do some destructive testing on it. And surely the auto would be able to handle 20 more kw...if not they are worse than I thought!

1200 rally car, of course i will keep playing with the thing for experimentation sake. thats how i pulled a V8 beater out of a 3 litre n/a V6 in the first place.
And i did not test the acceleration by a mate with a stopwatch, of course times would not be that consistent if i did that. but i did have a mate making contact with jump leads when i blew it up on the weekend.
btw the device runs straight out of battery not alternator, thats why i had it drawing 80 amp with an old battery down on voltage a bit. But i know it cant really handle 120amp like they claim because i replaced the 50 amp fuses and holders with big dyna-links with 60 amp fuses to do the 24V test.
this was done with another battery outside the car, a jumper lead between, and holding revs at 5000 steady and then making contact with 24V. The idea is the revs should have rise a bit under any boost, but that didnt happen.

and its only meant to run for 15 secs, so battery can recharge.

anyway i burnt out the motors in under 15 secs, so thats the end of that, it didnt blow the two 60 amp fuses i put in so i know its bullshit that it draws 120 amp.

fair enuf u built a TT for 1200$, well done, but u cant do that on a modern efi car, just the injectors or turbo or IC or the ECU all cost about that much EACH even if plumbing, wiring and evrything else done youirself.

you saw one tenth of a second diffrence, but sounds like you had a mate pressing a damn stop watch inside the car, this could only ever get you within a second near the real time at best

120amp draw???? your alternator will only put out 25amp for flog sake, so theres no way you can sustain it, and i love to see how thick the wire is to run it at 120amp? i bet that thing has 3mm wire hanging out for you to conect up to

mate these electric blowers are designed for cars 1.6L and under.

Now with ur 3L V6 its gonna suck more air than the blower can supply so ur not gonna get much boost, if any. Boost is made when the blower is pushing more air in than the car can suck, therefore creating pressure in the inlet.

Did u hook up a boost guage 2 see if u were getting any boost?
with the size of ur engine, and the size/power of the electric blower ur probably choking the magna.

hook it up to a charade/swift/sirion/1200 etc and see how u go.

Im not sticking up 4 the product as i dont know much about it.. but i do know for a fact that they are for real small engines, not a V6!
