erm, H190's..

there's two different crownwheel offsets, two crownwheel bolt sizes, three axle sizes and two different pinion bearing sizes that I know of....

I've put the big spline spiders inside the 4.6/alloyhead and then welded it up, I've never tried to see if it would work as an open diff though..
I cant machine enough off the back of the 4.6 C/w to make it bolt up to the LSD centres either, annoys the hell out of me...

Apologies all - good to have the knowledge of people like feral when people like me can't count !!!! I have a 29 spline H190 and a 23 spline H190 (alloy - ex vanette). Hard to be interested in the 23 spline now that I have seen the 29 . A question for you feral (please!) I assume that all crownwheel & pinion sets interchange (H190 that is) so I can therefore theoretically use the gear carrier from the B/B 29 spline and install the 4.6 gears from the alloy centre. Thence, the vanette diff is upgraded to 29 spline. Sound correct to you ? Your thoughts greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Cheers

That would be a 27 or 29 spline H190?

Sr20det with a monster turbo. I might just consider going with the ford 8.8 and play it safe. Don't know what a H190 is but it sounds just about as beefy as a 8.8, how much would the H190 have to be cut down?

375 rear wheel I wouldn't bother with either and go straight to a 28 spline H190. That is a lot of giddyup for even 23 spline H165 !!
Good luck - it will be fun to drive !!

I have access to a sedan axle with limited slip, and a ute axle that has an open differential. Are either of these stronger than the other, I'm planing on making roughly 375whp with my motor swap in the near future and want to know if either of these axles will hold up to the power with a relatively sticky street tire.

thanks in advance,
Drew
