unfair why? it shows a cheap and efective way to get more traction and eliminate the need do "dial in" pre-load.

this is the setup i'll be copying (so no, i didn't build the ones pictured) for my 240C.

the best bit about the 620 is the diff. it's got 9inch sized axles and with a bit of machining of the carrier bearing holder thingos you can fit 9inch bearings too.

The 2 link bars pictured are originally known as Cal-Tracs and originally designed by John Calvert a 3 time NHRA national winner.

Here is some info on how they work.

I think it was unfair of him to post those pics. I'd say the guy did it himself.

There are very few "Nismo" or similar hotup products available for 1200 (Even with their racing history). Your 620 would never have had such parts available, as it is a work truck, not a race car. If you want it to be a racecar, you will need to design and implement solutions similar, but you would be extremely lucky find any "off the shelf" items for your truck.

If you want to be a 1/4 mile champion, you will need to assess what potential the 620 has, given your skillset, and the availability of parts.

You need to either have a friend with many tools, or have the tools yourself. Working on a Datsun is about ingenuity and knowledge of auto electrics and mechanics, and bank-account size has much less to do with it.

a 2 link rear end is a cheaper and easier bet in my books.

use 4 rod ends and nuts, 2 lengths of 1.5mm wall tube and some custom hangers.

set it up like so ---->

hey thanks for your reply.how do i change the rear spring rate and damper.and what about traction control???i found a traction spring from JC whitney catalog that reduces spring wrap.it bolts on infront of the rear leaf spring.is that good??what else could i do to get lower E.T's on the quarter mile.

Taking in to account the standard weight and light tray configuration, I would have to say: 24.732seconds at 91.3mph (approximately). As you can see from the MPH it has the capability to do a high 15, if only you could put the power down. Consider a bag of traction cement in the rear right corner of the tray. Maybe 2. Maybe some slicks? Rear spring rate and damper changes. Have you considered launch/traction control?
