Yeah, they're dragways, the five-spoke version is very popular on old HQ-WB holdens, and look heaps better than the four-spokes I reckon.

They're very similar to the old Torque Thrust D rims which used to be on Mustangs in the 60's. These had dark grey spokes with polished rims. I think they were made by American Racing.

There was a set on ebay a few weeks back that where going for about $400... but I don;t think they were in anywhere as nice a condition as yours. I think they are refered to as 'American Racing Wheels' or something like that. Can anyone shead light on that?

They look good - right up there with a nice set of minilites in my opinion.

They are all on drugs with went through the baby boomer generation and this is a classic example why the world is as stuffed as it is.....
your ute is worth way more than your wheels...the wheels are probably worth about $100ea on the second hand market.

Just once i would like to return to my ute to find a attractive girl wanting to talk to me about my car.. Instead its always old men who stand by it for god knows how long to tell me a story of when they had one of these when they were a young chap.

Anyway, without a doubt, they all mention my rims. "havnt seen these rims for a long time! They are worth lots more then your whole car". worth more then my car?? Are these old guys all crazy or do i not know what i have?

Can anyone fill me in on this? Anyone know what these are actually worth? cant possibly be more then my car..

cheers,
evan
