hey guys. just went to the mechanics yesterday to check out how it was all going
its about 40% done. my engine is out and the 12a and gearbox is in. for anyone else doing this project, just so you know the transmission tunnel needs to be modded BIG time. i heard that it should all fit in original trans tunnel fine but no chance. sits alot higher then the a series gbox.

should be ready next friday. cant wait

yeah my RX7 was way heavy on fuel - a 13B large extend port with a 55DCOE "race only" carb over the top style.

lets just say geting to work and back (a 25min drive) was $20 -->

...per day...

yes they do, about as much as a v8, if they are driven hard

I used to have an RX3 coupe, with a 13B in it.
If driven really gental, it was pretty good on gas. I used to get to polytech and back on $2 provided I didn't rev it over 2000revs. (I was a very poor student) BUT, if I rung it out from every red light/stop, it would axe $10 gas in about tweny minutes!

hey 4nik8 if you havent got anyone looking at fabricating bits and pieces, g/box cross members, intercoolers, oil coolers, exhausts ect etc there's a place in Brooklyn called Forte Performance. it's run by a young guy called nick and he'll make pretty much anything up...aluminium, stainless, mild ....
last time i was in there he's in the middle of fitting a bigblock into an RX3
he's also done a bit of work with skylines and comodes
good luck

where the hell is that oil cooler going to fit... looks too wide for the 1200 engine bay, even if yo hack the front bever panel it still looks very wide.
have you also consulted an engeneer. if not they ca be harsh when you just rock up with a car to be engineered that the have never seen before.
