I notice alot of people running larger radiators in the 1200s to solve overheating issues. The question is how does a larger radiator help if it has no airflow to the edges where it overhangs the original radiator support?

I used to have a a14 radiator which was bracketed off to one side but without cutting the hole larger how is it going to get airflow to take advantage of the larger surface area. I know some people cut a larger hole but most just put it straight in. Since I have been using a stock radiator and it cools my worked a14 as good as the larger one.
