I seem to have those days only too often!

Hopefully they will become alot easier and this will happen quickly, I must admit ALOT normally gets done over a full on weekend.

I did the entry form trick too, it helps

The plenum is to simply get rid of all those damn water hoses and the idle/air valves.

Looks alot neater, and i'm not interested in driveability as its more a track.cruiser.

Basically done it all myself except the painting of colour and clear, that is what my spray painter mate has done. I am no panel beater so its not 100%, but it ensures i'm there rather then leaving it with a panel beater and waiting years for it to get back!

now thats an epic saga! looks good flyby. with about 1 and a halfish months left you'll be doing very well to get there but i'm sure you'll make it. a very complete project, i'm impressed. i had one of those days today where you seem to spend hours on the dat and nothing gets really done. thats a neat tunnel job you've done there too. i posted off my motorsport entry money and forms today too, just to add that little bit more pressure what made you decide to make a custom plenum? have you done most of the work on it, paint and panel included?

keep up the good work fellas time is ticking...

We are trying to really stress that everyone books their accomodation with the tourism office. They have organised shuttle buses and lunch on saturday, you miss out on this if book on your own.

My car is almost in one piece.
Almost finished priming and saturday I should see it painted, a mate of mine is in the same situation.

Check out my progress if you like www.datnet.org/flyby

It won't be 100%, probably only 80-90% compete, but it'll be drivable!

I have probably done the whole car a bit to quick (about 3-4 weeks worth), but should turn out alright in the end.

This damn deadline is driving me CRAZY!

I'll be taking some time off like shoey before the weekend, hopefully its all a cruise then.

Seeyas there!

ca18detman will have a better idea about setting the timing. I still use the "turn it one way turn it the other, and put it in the middle of the "noise changes" technique. Just as used on the old A-series.

If you can get the car completely out of shape after dropping 2nds..then the car is tuned right.

nice! i dropped around to 1200rallycar's joint this evening and he certainly has some work ahead of him figuring out that a series manifold with the delco computer.

hey dattodude, have you had much to do with checking base timing on the CA's i have a feeling mine is not giving me a correct reading and am gonna try a sparkplug lead on piston 1 to check. i'm really hoping it is currently running way out coz when i fix it, it'll transform free horsepower really
