at auto salon, its not the perfect datto environment but there are a lot of people who respect the cars and a lot of tools that will bag anything not on 20's or built by the "osman bros".
There are however a lot of smaller stands with a lot of things like rx3 and early rx7's. last year 2 240z's (one with an rb20 conversion and 1 l18turbo).
Even though its aimed at autobarn crowds and the such, a strong and positive presence by old school and new school dattos will bring new found appreciation of ur types of cars (in the long run benefiting our cause).
tell me anyone not impressed with 4nik8's or anges rotor wonders or 1200rs a15tt creation?
boof, you and me will be the only old school dato power there.
If not in april may semi final in november would also be good.
entry is approx $100 each but that gets you trade pass for the whole weekend and a mate (entry usually $20 approx for oneday)
think about it but i need to know by end of next week.

Guess all you need now is the alloy wing ehh.

sonds hot mick does`nt anyone want to go to easternats we dont havwe to show off our cars but there maybe alot of fun to be had or were could go for a cruise or somthing

i dunno might pick up an alloy drift wing and some greddy stickers, fit right in...

mine wont be ready by then.... maybe ill just leave the bonnet down and pretend it goes hehe

but to be honest i dont really think the autosalon is a place for our datto's..

i mean.. unless they have 20 inch chrome rims, air brushing and a blow off valve i dont think the regular autosalon crowd will give them the respect they deserve...

i went to the auto salon once.... it was like an overgrown autobarn store

ok fellow melbournians who may miss out on or could not make it to datnats over easter, im in the process of setting up an exhibition satnd for dattos at the melbourne autosalon in last week of aril/may.
as our cars a prior to 1986 we are inellidgeble for point or trophies b ut what a way to show off our cars.
1200rc, ange and 4nik8, if you guys are up for it we can make it work if your cars are ready.
