Yeah I do have friends in NZ that could help but no-one there is giving up their 63A's. One of the NZ tricks from the 70's and 80's was putting L series internals in an A series housing. That may be an option if you wish to change your 2nd and 3rd ratios. I think Stirlingmac mentioned this a coupla years back.

I mainly want to do it to get third gear closer to second gear and it is easier to get gear sets for the bigger gearbox as thay are like the L series box internaly apart from the imput shaft. Do you still have Friends in nz that could help out.

Would you ever get an overdrive 5 speed into top gear in a speedway race?

Biggest problem i have is in the class of speedway i run in you have to use the same manufactures gearbox as the car you use so cannot use a box from another make.

Hi Richard - at the moment I am living in the US which seems to be the last place to find 63A's still readily available. Your best bet price-wsie would be to get a Toyota 3T and Australian made Dellow kit. Not cheap but you'd never break it.
