Hi KB10 owners,

I too have fallen for the little coupe. Picked one up off Ebay for $200 and now am setting about getting it back on the road. It is pretty straight, has surface rust. But all the interior is there, all the chrome work on the outside is pretty good as well.

Has anyone got a spare drivers side seat runner/headrests/starter motor/guard mounted mirrors?

Also where do you find the engine number on a A10 engine?

Cheers,
Ray

hey 1000 collecter, how much are you after for the front bumper? i know some people who live in sterling too, very nice out there!

well i got a permit to drive the coupe to my parents holiday house at phillip island (about two km's from the track ) and boy was it an adventure! the diff which was locked decided to give way, along with the gearbox. both still worked but were making some dam awful noises so i limped it the final 15 km's and then garaged it for the night. cool little car, first it'll get a mild tidy up and then i'm looking at injecting the a14, should be fun!

You wont need the front apron if you use a spoiler like most racers do youll gain some downforce with the addition of a suitable rear spoiler.

Ive sent inquiries to Nissan in South Africa about the tailights for my early vb10 and also for you guys after the kb10 grilles.
Ive had a quick reply saying they did assemble these cars there and will get back to me this week about these rare parts and ordering. Ive emailed Nederland Nissan but they were as cold as fossilised polar bear kaka!

does anyone (dodgeman i know you have some ) have

a front bumper
the front apron or whatever the panel under the bumper is

cheers guys

Congratulations, you are now a member of an exclusive group.
Now for the bad news.

Bumper.
I am still looking for one myself.

Front apron.
I had to buy a front cut of a coupe to get one for my car. If you look back through my photos you will see that i had to replace this & the radiator support panel from the donor car.

Grille.
I had to get one from Japan. I also have a couple of damaged ones & with a lot of work i might be able to make another that will be built as the factory option "black" grille. This will hide the damage to the bars.

If push comes to shove, you can use non-coupe parts to replace the missing /damaged parts. It won't have the unique coupe front, but it will get you going at a lower cost & with a lot less dificulty finding the bits.

ok CAman, thats still a good price. i've got a gassed up MIG which i can use, i was under the impression you bought a lot of pipe and hired a big pipe bender or something! are there certain places that do these "kits" down my way, or is it a very specialised industry?

pics will come with the delivery of the car... soon.
all i've seen of the brakes are that it has vented front disks, some sort of locked diff and its fairly stiff all round.

Hey Lagwagon I didnt make the cage I just fitted it (a lot of work) its a bond steel cage cost around $800 all the bends ect where in the right spots just had to cut them to length and weld it all in. If your not a very competent welder would probably be best to pay to get it profesionally done as once its finished cams will want to inspect it. to make sure its upto spec.;
Cheers Andrew CAms have details on teh webpage on whats required Cams

I'll check into the grille. Mines good but I need new headlight trims anyway. I'll let you guys know.

Congratulations on the car. Sounds like great fun. What kind of suspension/brake mods does it have. When will we see pics?

Blowhard,

Who did you order the bits from Japan from?
The guys at Nissan here were less than helpful...
