My good mate used to run an A-15 in his offroad stadium buggy. [Became Australian champion with A-series too] The motor was dry sumped and the pump was externally mounted and driven by belt. He has since left off road racing, I will ask if can locate the pump and take some pics....

I have the same set-up with my idiot light..it comes on at about 25-30 psi.

I also have a dry sump...so I don't expect to see it come on any time soon ;)

I run an " Idiot light " on my A-series. I also use it with a 30 PSI sender. I f the light comes on with the regular sender [12 - 15 PSI from memory] at high RPM, i suggest it would a bit late by then........

I also have baffled the sump.

On a side note I saw the result of an A-Series motor, built for speedway, that had lost oil; pressure. The bearings/crank got so hot that the bearings melted back into the oil galleries of the crank. Not pretty.

From what I've seen of his racing lines he must spend every corner checking his gauges.

Hey Craig...is your sump baffled? Have you had a chance at all to look at oil pressure mid corner...just wondering if you get any surge at all.
