Unless you are/ know well, a fabricator/welder, then yes, it will cost sh!t loads to build one.
The s/c12 of a 4agze has a 125mm pulley, the crank pulley is 145mm. If you run a 1:1 ration, that will be pretty good. Belts are off the shelf just like an A/C one.
I can get a pulley for the crank for $100. You will either need a custom pulley to bolt it to, or turn off the front pulley on a solid type one that some motors had.
A word of fore warning, building a S/C set up is quite a trick, and you will quickly learn a lot of bad language trying to make it work.

However, having 11psi on tap from 500 rpms makes it very much worthwhile.

Hey come on. Isn't the point of modifying cars to have something different. If you want easy, save up and buy a WRX or the like. There must be some advantages to the supercharger over a turbo. Personally for me the whole point of the Datto is not horsepower anyway. It is the way that something that has little power, lousy brakes and ancient suspension seems to overcome all these problems to be a hoot to drive through tight twisty corners. I have a 2004 Honda accord euro. It has all the bells & whistles, good horsepower, great brakes & handles really well. But it is all a bit too easy & doesn't provide the feedback the 1200 does. Besides the best part is the guy in a V8 screams up behind you only to be left behind when you come to the first decent corner.

u want directions, go out and build a motor for the blower, then see how hard it is to do properly without just using stock manifolding, and sell the blower and get a nice turbo..... much easier.

direction?? straight to the poorhouse?

If you've got the same pulley sizes as the donor motor, then you'll be trying to push almost double the air into your engine at the same revs.

So underdrive the S/C, to compensate for engine size/compression ratio. Ignition will require mods to deal with positive intake pressures.

Then spend ages making brackets, and heat shields, try and find the belt to begin with.

This is not a <$1000 project. And you'd be better off with a turbo. The non-crossflow head of an a-series makes the reality of a supercharger installation, a difficult proposal.

If you want to be madmax..save up and by a supercharged v8

I used to badly want a supercharger, until I thought hard about the costs of fabrication..
