Ahhh yes, perfection achieved, but you're right, those follow on models were worthy successors & that 1200 coupe that i bought for my son is still a source of great joy to him.
I better not let him drive my KB10 though for fear that he may not give it back.

I guess i gotta confess too, that they took a great engine design & made it even better, which is why i am using one. The styling too, i guess i could force myself to live with.
Does this mean that all our Datsuns are not ordinary cars?
Well, maybee,...... but the fact is that KB10s rock. It's an extrordinary car.

Well Dodgeman, its hard to improve on perfection, and after the KB10 I am sure the designers were scratching their heads thinking "we have not left ourselves much room for improvement here".

But this is a 1200 site,

So, when the B110 arrived,(despite the bean counters insisting on Macpherson struts) it was a worthy successor to the humble B10, carrying on so many of the features that made that car great but adding a fresh new body design for the 70s.

Tell me Sidedraught, why is it,.. do you think,.. that they were never again able to capture the essence of classic style after the !000 hit the road? Is that why all those others are just ordinary cars?

Especially the coupe (KB10) - a car less ordinary.

Do a search on the tool bar on your left <----

There's 1000's (pun intended) of pics...

Definately not the same bodies, the 1000 is less curvy.

The 1000 engine bay is also narrower.

The 1000 engine bay also has less room in the height department.
