I have a Stanza motor and auto box in unkown condition, in the Stanza I bought to re-shell a mate's rally car. I probably would have turfed it when I got it out of the car, so if you want to come and take the engine and box away, they're yours. Its missing the carb and starter motor.

Hi There, im doing an l-series conversion in my 1200 at the mo, your in luck to because your daughters car is already auto is it not? The auto trans tunnel is a wee bit wider so the L series gearbox will fit without 'massaging', search for L20 conversion, all sumps are interchangeable between Lseries engines and make sure you use the same oil pickup from sump. You wont really be able to use stanza crossmember, too wide, too much camber for street. but i suggest adapting the engine mounts from stanza to the 1200 crossmember, but look at L18_B110's messages and posts, he has an abundance of info on this swap, you;ll be reading for hours.
Good luck to you and any questions you might have, just ask and i or someone else should have the answer.
Cheers Sean

Cole is after more torque for her auto sedan & doesn't want a manual. I was thinking of getting a rusted out automatic Stanza & fitting the motor, gearbox, engine crossmember, brakes & anything else that might fit. Has anyone done this? What's involved. I have an arc welder & a mate has a mig (and can use it) so nothing is impossible. IWe are trying to avoid fuel injection because of the cost.
