no way would it fit
on the other subject to the people who say rb20s are a pice of @#$%
have you ever owned one as for them having no go 217fwhp standard is not exactly a slug and it is verry easy to obtain 200+rwkw from theas engines reliably
and as for them not being tough they are more bulet proof than the rb25 and defantly mre than the ca never underestamate a rb20det

I posted a thread when I was first researching my conversion asking this same question. I was told the RB20 turns a 1200 into an "understeering pig"...... So I went for the CA18 like everyone else.

An RB engine in a 1200 would be a front mount and a mid mount.

you could fit the rb easily without cutting the firewall, as long as u cut the radiator support out and had the engine sticking 2 foot out the front

KA is based on a Z series block whicjh is based on a L series block so it should also you can get KA24de engines from importers these have something like 140hp with 150ftlbs

this would make a awsome ute engine

Also on that topic, well kinda, would a KA24DE fit in a 1600 or a 1200?? Ive never seen it done, and yes i know that the KA is no match for a well built CA or SR but its all about the different factor....

not without cutting

Also way to heavy

if you want a nice cheap two liter use L20

other wise the Ca would be better
