As did I but very happy that it didnt cost as much as i thought, but in realitity there isnt 'much' to it i spose... Puttin dead weights for weight of pistons and conrods, attaching flywheel, pressure plate and clutch (optional, why i dont know?) & the crank pulley all on and measuring the balance of it all in tandem is it basically, the rest done by machine and computers..
And then simply drill notches or holes around the crank, flywheel, clutch pulley to match up and even the weight distribution across the running gear, i think

This is a more extensive balancing machine yeah? (searching for help here ) But thats pretty much the process

Anyone else shed some light on this subject that i know little about?!

But definatley go ahead with it..

If it's only going to cost $125 or there abouts then it's a real no-brainer huh? Thanks for that advice - for some reason I thought it would cost a heap more than that.

I had a full balance (flywheel, clutch, crank, pulley) for $125...Very beneficial in the long run if wanting the donk to last a while

Do it you wont regret it

I've done a bit of a search but cannot really find much on engine balancing etc. I'm currently building up an a14 and wanted to know if it is worth going through the expense of getting the crank and flywheel balanced - and if so how much would I be looking at?
