hey gary, really cool of you to offer your services like that.

I'm also from SA and having major headaches with the local suppliers in my area(somerset west - i can't complain about the service cause there ain't any ). I was wondering if you could get me a price on some new/used struts for a disc brake conversion for a 82 datto bakkie. It would be much appreciated thanks.

GOod Morning all,

I am offering my services to assist those of you who would like to source spares from South Africa / Zimbabwe, new or used.
Please e-mail me your requirements with Datsun 1200 as the subject header with as much information as you can provide.Although I am pretty much up to steam on the 1400 van, my exposure to the 1200 has been limited.A decent description and perhaps a digital photo of the component you are after will not go amiss. The mark up / charge for my services will be nominal by current standards (Shipping and payment methods totally negotiable to suit the individual) - I believe the strength of overseas currencies will make the exercise worth while.
Looking forward to a good response to make the effort worthwhile.
For those of you interested in performance components, please give me the opportunity to have a look at that as well.
I need to try and quickly establish a feel for demand before tackling the finer details and legalities of exporting spares. As always, and typically Africa, there are many ways to skin a cat.
I will keep all posted on the long term feasabilty on a regular basis.
I'll look after this side of the water and you the other.

Blue Skies
Gary
