When i started my project the guy from the machine shop said to me 'no matter how much hard work, time and money you throw into a project - in the end you will never get it back'
on the rare occasion people do sell old cars more for what they bought it for (cost's included) and it equlas out as a profit

in this case dont sell it dude, keep the 1200 tradition alive and kicking. in a few years time you'l be kickn your self saying 'why the hell did i sell it'

Keep it but pour money into it overtime not all at once, thats the way you get pissed off at your cars!

Dave

Geez converted. Kicking a few people off the site tonite arent we.

If I could register/engineer a rover in the datto it would already be in there. It would be an awesome combination and for those that say just go a CA/SR its not the same as a V8. N/A grunt out of the box. + sound + torque

Yeah Ange id like to have both. I may try to juggle it for a bit. I can easily afford it but I would like the extra cash. Maybe ill keep the datto until rego/insurance is running low. BTW thats not for another 6months.

I have the answer. Just stick a V8 in the 1200. An alloy rover motor wouldn't be too heavy.

Well its happening again. I have the feeling the datto may not be around much longer. I have so many thoughts running through my head. This weekend im looking at the Nanna Wagon. A holden HQ wags 308 powered, with 3 on the tree traumatic, red with white roof, stock hubbies, brand new twin system(sounds sweet), venetions, registered 6 seater. Very very clean and a very very good price. Although if I get this i think ill still keep the datto for a little bit. Also on the side im in the hunt for a straight Chrysler Centura. And if all else fails and I decide to keep the 12hundy it will get a hot a15 in place of the mild-warm a14.

If she goes I know ill miss her. If she stays we will continue our love hate releationship.

Very confused. I love my V8s though and 265hemis are awesome especially in light cars.

Give me guidence datto gods.
