If you want the chrome to show through like a lot of old Datsun badges do then use Tamiya model paints. They do tinted clear in red (called clear red X-27) and possibly blue (but never bought any blue so I'm not sure)I restored some SSS badges with it and it looks like original. Seems to last well too. heya's, Just wondering if anyone knew what the colours are on the logo on the front grill. I have a 1200 sedan, and on the grill there is a 'D' logo. Within that logo/badge (whatever you call it), there are two vertical stipes. I can see some residue paint left on them, and it looks like the left stripe is red, and the right stripe is blue. Is this correct? thanks
