I was a sore for a couple days down the right side of my body - mainly my neck and where my head smacked the window... but holy crap you realise how good seat belts are!! She couldn't have been going very fast, but when she hit I was thrown pretty hard towards the passenger seat and the only thing that stopped me was my seatbelt. I guess its like being tackled by Tana Umanga in full flight.

I have been around to I think about 15 smash repair places in Canberra and Queanbeyan, but no one has given me a solid impression that they can do the paint.... I have spoken with Shannons and they are considering the full respray option at this point in time. Time will tell I guess.

Yeah, thanks for the tips on leaving the repair place.... I'll make sure I'm 100% happy. I'll let you all know how it goes and post up some pics of the repairs.

thats not kool man i woulda done my nut but i would start lookin for another door because i very much doubt ne one will even try to fix it as for the rest it will come out if u can find a good panel beater down there.

I no a panel beater in vic that will fix it he does metal repairs not bog repairs.

I would have cried if that ute was mine .(very sweet). good luck . a young boy puuled out in front of me last month and I t-boned him . He had no ins. at all and all I had was liability. my poor old 79 210 wagon is fixin to find the graveyard in the sky. But it did donate parts to my 1200 though so she'll never be forgotten

Bummer dude. Lucky she wasn't going any faster or you might have been hurt. After it's been repaired, don't take it home unless you are 100% happy with the job. Driving it away means you accept their repair, and you'll have a hard time getting them to put anything right that isn't 100% correct.
