thanks for that.

Yeah, l was thinking of using the PBR brakes as they are bigger. Currently the sedan has a single reservoir. It's practically new (just replaced before l bought it), but a wheel cylinder is stuffed, so l cant be bothered with the drums anymore.

So does this mean l will need to upgrade the brake lines?? (hard lines). Will the 120y ones fit into a sunny m/c?

Are all sunny m/c's 13/16? Or is there a particular year l should look for?

Thanks again!!
Andy

the 120y strut should bolt straight in.are the 120y struts japanese style brakes or pbr brakes?
either way they'll drop straight onto the 1200 steering arms.just use the 1200 strut tops,so you don't raise the ride height by 50 mms.so, you don't have to change the steering arm, balljoint, lower control arm, castor arm, etc, like when you use stanza struts.the 73 sedan should have a twin cylinder m/c,so you shouldn't have to change the hard lines, but if the 120y hoses are a bit daggy, replace them now while you've got the chance.you do need to get a master cylinder to suit the disc brakes, although if the existing one is in good condition, you could always get the residual pressure valve removed.as new master cylinders are about $100 australian at the moment,i'd get a new one,a 13/16's one from a sunny would be what i'd do.that way you wouldn't have to replace the rear wheel cylinders, unless thay were stuffed.this would give you a slightly harder pedal, but a shorter pedal travel.the pushrod from the 1200 m/cylinder will fit to the sunny m/c,theres a funny circlip which holds it on,i've done the changeover myself on a 1000.

I'm wanting to convert a sedan to disk brake front, so am looking at getting some later model 120y (76 on) struts.

I'm sure l need to get the master cylinder, brake lines & maybe change the rear wheel cylinders.

But do l need the lower control arm & ball joint?? Or do l use the current BJ? What about the castor rod? Are the control arms the same except the bolt holes for the BJ are bigger??

Thanks
Andy
