Your mate has the numbers wrong....there were only around 200 120y SSS's built. The 1200 version had over 4x that number. By the way you got a bargain, but what it's worth restored is a tough answer...it's how much someone wants to pay.

Well since SSS datsuns have been a hot topic recently i thought i would share my datsun 120y sss with you. Yes I own it and yes im only seventeen. My dad actually bought it for me as my first car, we were always told 900 were made by his mate who had a datsun 1200sss who said his was rarer. its a 1975 datsun 120y sss with double dellortos, original 12" mag wheels it only came with one badge at the time because it had been stolen but we bought another recently. It has all the SSS imprinting on the furnishing its got the original 120y am radio, although the speaker is gone, the picture is from a year ago and was recently in a crash and repaired so on that black door is some reapairs now.

My father took into a quater mile sprint which got a fastest time of 18.8s and a top speed of 125km/h according to the laser scan but according to his speedo 140km/h

We bought is whangarei which is at the very tip of the north island for $1000NZ and i was wondering, if restored to near perfect condition, how much would it be worth?

I would take better pictures IF my sister didnt have my blasted camera.

Feel free to ask any questions.
