It sounds like an original GX setup & these were a fairly well sorted design that complied with all the relevant laws.
You will be well advised to think twice about removing stuff without a good understanding of the outcome first.
I went to my library & got a bit of a surprise.
The Gregories 180B manual [No. 110] shows only the earlier round top carbs. No help there.
The Factory 180B/ 610 manual [April '76] makes no reference to twin carbs at all.
The Factory 200B/ 810 manuals [i have three diferent ones] does not refer to twin carbs either.
BINGO
The factory series 1 Bluebird/ 910 manual was the jackpot. When the series 1 Bluebird was released, they used an English language version of the international manual. There was a second & much thinner manual that covered those parts of the car that were unique to Australian models. Later on they used an Australian produced book that covered the series 1 & 2 & left out all the bits that did not relate to Australian models.
The Book that i have is dated January 1982 & gives a comprehensive coverage of this basic carburettor setup, so it should be good for what you need.
In fact, there's a
Bluebird Book on e-bay right now & it's located only about 10 miles/ 16K from me, although the competition looks interesting. [sorry Chris]
If you like you could drop him a line & ask if it's got the twin carbs. What happens next is up to you.
