Although I have never done mine I always thought the under dash tray would do well if fixed wth fibreglass.

Great buy and welcome to the 1k team.
These little critters are a classic now and their panel work is similar to the hand made silvya of the 1966-67 era only tougher and better finished.
Has anyone with one contemplated a vanette style under dash brake booster and master cylinder? Im about to attempt it using a vanette setup and will tell you how it goes in the near future. Im trying to make everything as clean as possible in the engine bay and also make way for a multivalve L series in the future.

You're right. Datsun 1000's seem to be poping up everywhere, with a good sprinkling of coupes too. It's good to see all these lovely little cars surviving in such good numbers.

Shaun
The parcel tray [part No. 96800 - 18200] that is damaged in your car is common to all right drive Datsun 1000 models, so check out every junk Datsun 1000 you can find.
Burnt orange should look just fine & i think that the current Ford range of cars has a passable example of the colour.

Nice one man! Geez seeing all these 1000's come out of the woodwork makes me want to pull my finger out and get mine ship-shape...

I think I'm going to have to start selling coke to support my habit

Your a lucky man Shaun, that is one clean KB10.

Good to see all those close ups of the dash, let the 1200 owners see what they have been missing out on all this time.

The KB10 its no ordinary car.
