it is definately a stanza box mated up to an L20. It won't bolt up to an A series motor. The benefit of the stanza box for this type of conversion is that the gearstick comes up through the original gearstick hole (looks like it was made for it)

Stanza is also known as a Violet, 140J (A14), 160J (L16). Chassis code is A10.

i wasnt sure myself, but im thinking of the sunny. all these different names and then chassis names and trying to remember what engine they had in them and what gearbox was behind them, its any wonder why i get confused

Overseas they came with an a-14 they were called a 140J.

so what type of 5spd is it? 63series? 60series? and if its a stanza box wouldnt it fit up to an A series not an L series engine? becasuse didnt the stanza have an A series in it?

please give some more details. pm me.
