very impressive there sleeper. what brand convertor is that one. we use some like that.fuel lock & convertor all in one unit. The old ones were seperate, which were IMPCO MODEL j & K .

YAY!! put 4.1 gallons in after driving over 100 miles :) Also leaned it out and advanced the timing as far as my dizzy goes.

I guess the newest lpg tanks have a built in 80% shutoff, but many are still venting, my lpg dealer is getting used to it now, but they didn't get it at first..

car started up pretty easy after sitting 10 days :)

I only work on these on forlifts , but we do vent the tank while fillingto full. We have only used carbs. in the past but the EPA has now gotten a good hold on the forklift market & we are in the process of trading in about 30 older models so I am just now fixin to get to work on injected system. We had 2 type of carbs. piston type,& diaphram type. As we speak it looks like we are going NISSAN too!!!!! We have used HYSTER in the past.

Do you still have to manually bleed the tank at 80% fill in the US??

In aus an Auto Fill limiter which limits filling to 80% automatically became compulsary for all new tanks/installs from 1994.

Many manufacturers are now fiting multipoint LPG vapoor injection as factory LPG fitting, I know Holden have just released the current V6 commodore with in in a dual fuel setup

Like drive by wire?
I've seen stepper motor controlled throttle bodies on dual fuel generator sets.

or do you mean as far as controlling multiple throttle bodies in a drive by wire system?

I don't know much about those, but it certainly would eliminate ugly throttle cables and linkages.

I was also very interested in the aplication of the steper motor metered sytems as potetially these could be used in a multi throttle system maybe have you ever seen any such applications????

i know of someone here using LPG injection on a datsun 510 with a turbo making over 500 HP!


OMVL sells a sequential LPG injection system, it uses it's own controller and a thing to trick the OEM ECU to think that the injectors are normal, check out the link and go to products, check out the dream whatever ststem, sounds like a solid system.

I think there is some potential for LPG, it's the easiest of the 'alternative' fuels.

I really did it to evade the smog regulations, then I'm gonna work out a turbo system.

I'll have to see how it goes. I'm kinda committed now ;)

comarison's I have seen in the past LPG V'S gasoline here in the U.S. was lpg being less power than gasoline. & I can tell the diff. in our forklifts. to this day
