Basically i want some John taylor springs but i can't obviously get them over here in NZ

I bought some John Taylor springs off a fellow member of this site, freight over the ditch was pretty expensive. But King springs have to come from the same place too.

Is this for a racer or what? If you're serious about it I'd say give John Taylor's springs a go, his springs have worked really well in my car. Just be aware that all up it will cost quite a bit, including freight and a decent pair of shocks to complement the springs.

Just give them a call and talk to them, explain what you want/need and the y should be able to give you a price to suit. If it's just a plain reset Ballamy & East are the cheapest.
Also I'm home most days so you can pop round anytime.

Hey Nick - I have a set of the latest JTS springs in Invers and they are much more than a reversed eye job. They are custom made with a couple of neat features that allow no tramp power on launches and fantastic handling on the track. The price isn't too bad and they will handle A series through to SR20DET torque and power. You should check into feight costs.

Just go to Ballamy & East, or Chamberlains, and they will reset yours. Quite cheap too.

will they be able to do a decent reverse eye type setup, i want something similar to JT springs that the aussie guys can get.

Also, i hear you have got your front spoiler on now, will have to come have a look at it sometime

Ok heres the verdict.
King springs don't stock them anymore and i was told they are an "indent" which means that you have to pay up first then they will make them for you.
They are however bloody expensive, i was told around NZ$400 per side.
I'll pass i think

Nick

We looked at a pair of reverse eye for the race car and decided to have Kings reset our orignal springs - which work fine with the shock/sway bar arrangement that we have.
They are not as expensive as you indicate above. They were around the $400-$500 per pair by memory.
I have just rung Kings and they still make reverse eye leaf springs, but only for the Coupe. Other than that they will make to order from a sample or reset your old ones.
Hope this helps - the coupe has different springs to the ute and sedan etc
I see that you are in NZ so Kings may not be an easy answer
Regards
Adam
